Performance Fit
Tight-fitting, smooth and as crease-free as possible. Suitable for running, gymnastics, water sports and other sporting activities, with a secure fit.
SIZES & FIT
TWIOO SPORTS develops close-fitting styles for different sports, body shapes and movements. That’s why it’s not just the letter on the label that matters, but also the style range, fabric, waist height, leg length and desired fit.
01 · THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE
Low-rise unisex tights, women’s leggings with a higher waistband, men’s running tights and a full-body suit may fit differently despite having the same size label.
This page is designed to help you find your way around. However, the information provided for each specific product remains crucial, as it takes into account the material, cut and specific lengths.
Read the product description first, then look at your body measurements and the desired fit together.
02 · HOW SHOULD IT FIT?
Polyamide-elastane products are designed to fit close to the body. If they are too loose, this can compromise features such as the elasticated waistband, compression or a secure fit.
Tight-fitting, smooth and as crease-free as possible. Suitable for running, gymnastics, water sports and other sporting activities, with a secure fit.
Slightly less tight for everyday wear, warm-ups or customers who are between sizes and prefer less compression.
Seams or prints are subjected to unusually high stress; the waistband cuts into the skin, or the garment can only be pulled on with considerable effort.
Creasing, a waistband that rides up, excess fabric in the crotch, or a lack of support when moving.
03 · MEASURING CORRECTLY
It is best to take measurements over thin, close-fitting clothing. The tape measure should lie straight and loosely against the body, without constricting it.
Measure horizontally across the widest part of the chest and shoulder blades.
Measure at the narrowest part of your natural waist, not where a pair of low-rise trousers ends.
Measure horizontally across the widest part of the hips and buttocks.
Measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg to the desired hem.
For full-body suits, measure from the shoulder point through the crotch and back to the starting point.
04 · MODEL SERIES
The following overview describes the general fit. Sizes, materials and details may vary for individual items.
Unisex tights
low-rise · close-fitting · narrow elasticated waistband
The range has been designed as a versatile unisex base layer. If you have a distinctly feminine or masculine body shape, a specific women’s or men’s range may be a better fit.
Women's Leggings & Running
women’s cut · mid-rise to high-rise waistband
The individual models differ in terms of waist size, leg length and functional details. The product description is therefore crucial.
Men's Running Tights
low-rise · close-fitting · wide elasticated waistband
The men’s range has been designed with a distinctive front panel and a long, sporty, slim fit. PREMIUM TENSION may fit more snugly than the classic SLEEK – or SHINE – versions.
Women & Men
close-fitting · warm · slightly shorter depending on the style
WL BLACK It fits snugly and is worn as a base layer. It should not be chosen unnecessarily loose, so that the insulating layer stays close to the body.
Unisex and women's
from low-rise to regular waist · very stretchy
SLEEK SHINEs are very stretchy. The fit you prefer is a key factor: tight for training and performances, or a size larger for comfort in everyday wear and less compression.
Unisex, women’s and sport-specific cuts
close-fitting · torso length is particularly important
With full-body suits, a standard ready-to-wear size is often not sufficient. Height, torso length, upper body measurements and the intended use must all be taken into account.
Extra-long special fit
low-rise · extra-tight around the thighs · narrow leg
The extra-long version is designed for people who are around 1.75 to 1.85 metres tall and have very slender legs. For other body types, regular leggings are often the better choice.
05 · MATERIAL AFFECTS THE FIT
Stretchy fabrics behave differently. That is why the same size may look different in a soft PREMIUM fabric than in a stiffer PREMIUM TENSION fabric or a very stretchy SLEEK – or SHINE – fabric.
That doesn’t mean the size chart is wrong. It means that fabric stretch and the desired fit need to be taken into account when making your choice.
View all materialsSmooth, with a silky-matt finish and stretchy. Form-fitting, but less compressive than TENSION.
A snug fit and a slightly compressive feel. If you’re between two sizes, the level of compression you prefer may be the deciding factor.
Shiny nylon-Lycra fabrics cling closely to the body, creating a sporty, snug fit.
Brushed on the inside and comfortable. When choosing it as a warm layer, don’t go for one that’s unnecessarily baggy.
06 · INTERNATIONAL SIZE GUIDE
European performance clothing often fits more snugly than typical American sportswear. The tables are intended as a rough guide only; they do not guarantee a specific fit.
European sizes are generally more fitted than typical US sportswear. Product-specific fit notes and body proportions are more important than a direct conversion based on letter sizes.

Height and weight can result in very different proportions. This overview is therefore no substitute for taking your own measurements or for the information provided on the specific product.
07 · SPECIAL CASES
If the proportions differ significantly or the item is intended for a specific purpose, it is often better to seek a personalised recommendation rather than ordering three sizes to choose from.
For a snug, compression-style fit: go for a smaller size. For a more comfortable fit, or if you’re sensitive to seams and prints: go for a larger size.
Leg and torso length may be more important than circumference. Check the different models and special lengths.
Consider the length of the torso, shoulder width and how the board performs in the water as a whole. Weight and height alone are not enough.
Collect sizes in a structured way and, for larger projects, plan for samples or a coordinated sizing round.
08 · TEAMS, COMPANY RUNS AND CLUBS
For team projects, we collect sizes, styles and any special instructions in a structured manner. Depending on the scope of the project, it may be advisable to provide size samples or organise a coordinated fitting.
It is important to note that not everyone is automatically allocated the same unisex range. Women’s, men’s and unisex styles can be combined within a single design.
09 · PERSONAL SIZE GUIDE
Please tell us the product or model number, your height, your hip and bust measurements, and how tight you’d like the garment to fit. This will enable us to help you much more effectively than if you just gave us a single letter.
